Today we rewalked this outing (see November 2018) on a predicted wet and windy day. It wasn’t wet. The idea was to do it on the last day before the motorway bridge is demolished, due on the 8th January. It is said that the curved concrete at each end is potentially dangerous for high lorries on the hard shoulders, so at present both of these are blocked off under the bridge. See the pictures.
From tomorrow the path will go virtually straight on just past Guys Farm, past Nan’s Nook and SSE to the Wyre, following this under the M6 and along to join the Wyre Way.
